Est. Thalwil, 2011

Built with
heart.
Run with soul.

A club founded by someone who simply wanted the best for himself and the people closest to him. Fifteen years later, it has become something far greater.

15
Years of private training.
Never once advertised.
Still growing by word of mouth alone.
Tulua Health Club
The Beginning

A place he wished existed.

In 2011, Moshtak Farouk — known to everyone who matters as Misho — opened the doors of Tulua in Thalwil with a simple intention. He wanted to build the club he had always searched for. A place where he and his closest friends could train at the highest level, in complete privacy, with people and equipment that matched the standard they held in every other area of their lives.

"I didn't build a business. I built a home."

That is still exactly what it is. In 2018, Anna Farouk joined and together they expanded Tulua into what it is today — two locations, a growing family of members and an extraordinary team.

"I wanted a place where I could bring my closest friends and know that everything — every trainer, every piece of equipment, every detail — was exactly right. That was all. That is still all."

The Farouk Family

Founders, owners
and members.

Misho founded Tulua in 2011 with a vision that has never changed: the very best, for the right people, in a space that feels like home. He has trained here himself, every week, since the day it opened. The standards he sets are the standards he lives by.

Anna joined in 2018 and together they multiplied the vision. What followed was not just growth — it was expansion with purpose. Together they built the second location in Zollikon, deepened the team and grew Tulua into what it is today.

Together they have built something that neither could have built alone. Tulua is their passion, their project and — in the truest sense — their home.

The Team

Not employees.
Athletes. Artists.
Experts.

Every trainer at Tulua is something in their own right — a competitive athlete, a movement specialist, a practitioner with decades of lived experience in their field. They did not come to Tulua to start a career. They came because Tulua is the kind of place that lets them do their best work.

Several have been here since the beginning. They know our members not just as clients but as people. They know their history, their goals, their limitations and their potential. That depth of relationship cannot be replicated. It is what makes Tulua feel, for so many members, like a second home.

01
Athletes in their own right
Our trainers compete, perform and train at the highest levels themselves. They bring that lived experience into every session. They know what it feels like to push through a plateau because they have done it themselves.
02
Decades of expertise
Between them, the Tulua team carries decades of hands-on experience across strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, mobility, nutrition and recovery. Every speciality. Every method. Available to every member.
03
Part of the family
Members walk in and they hug the trainers. That does not happen by accident. It happens because the people at Tulua genuinely care — about results, yes, but also about the person standing in front of them.

"We are endlessly grateful for the team we have built. They are not just exceptional at what they do — they are exceptional people. Tulua exists because of them. Every single day, they show up and give everything. We do not take that for granted for a single moment."

The Community

A membership.
A family.

Tulua has always grown through its people. Every member has arrived through someone they trust — a friend, a colleague, a fellow member who said simply: you need to come and see this place. That is not something we engineered. It is simply what happens when a place is genuinely worth talking about.

The people who train here hold themselves to a standard. In their work, in their health, in how they show up for the people around them. You feel it the moment you walk in. Not in an intimidating way. In the way that makes you want to be better.

Children grow up here. Parents train while their children train alongside them. Grandparents and teenagers share the same floor. Members from completely different worlds become friends. That is not something we planned. It is something that grew, naturally, from building a place where the right people feel at home.

When you become a member of Tulua, you do not just gain access to a club. You join something. And once you are part of it, you never quite want to leave.

Tulua also works with selected partners who share our standards. For members interested in advanced longevity medicine and diagnostics, we offer priority access to the Swiss Center for Health & Longevity — our partner clinic in Zollikon.

What We Stand For

The principles that have never changed.

Discretion
We do not talk about our members. We do not post about our members. We do not use our members to market ourselves. Privacy is not a policy at Tulua. It is a value.
Excellence
Everything at Tulua — every trainer, every piece of equipment, every detail of the space — is chosen with one question in mind: is this the best we can offer? If the answer is no, it does not belong here.
Community
We are a family business run with family values. The relationships here — between members, between trainers, between generations — are what make Tulua irreplaceable. You cannot build that. You can only nurture it.
Longevity
We are not interested in quick results. We are interested in results that last. In health that compounds over years and decades. In members who are still training here in twenty years' time, still thriving, still improving.

Membership at Tulua is by invitation only. We do not have open days or free trials. The best way to understand what we have built is to walk through the door. Request an invitation and we will take it from there.
